La luce, o meglio il lighting design, è un argomento complesso che racchiude al suo interno conoscenze tecnico-fisiche, scienza e design. Non è una novità che le persone vengano attratte da ambienti ben illuminati, con una luce studiata, pensata, e non una luce che ha il solo scopo di “far vedere”. Il lighting design richiede competenza, maestria, e cosa di non poco conto, continuo aggiornamento, essendo un settore in rapida evoluzione.

La luce da forma alle cose, porta nei luoghi i sentimenti, crea le atmosfere, determina gli stati di animo. Il settore dell’illuminazione si evolve rapidamente con costanti progressi e infinite possibilità per migliorare lo spazio con la luce. Ogni anno apparecchi sempre più performanti, miniaturizzati, con efficienze e rese cromatiche altissime escono sul mercato. La moltitudine e la complessità dei prodotti, rende difficile sapere quali sono più adatti e per cosa. Per questo la figura del progettista illuminotecnico (lighting designer) è importantissima.  Il processo creativo del lighting designer parte sempre da un’idea, da un concept,  per favorire soluzioni innovative per affrontare il modo in cui percepiamo il nostro ambiente (valorizzandolo e caratterizzandolo) e il modo in cui interagiamo con esso. In alcuni casi specifici si rendere necessario lo studio di apparecchi speciali, che possano rispondere al meglio alle esigenze progettuali del lighting designer. In ogni caso il cliente avrà sempre una luce studiata su misura per le sue esigenze. 

Il lighting design è quella branca della progettazione che si occupa della luce, partendo da un’idea, dando forma agli spazi, portando nei luoghi i sentimenti, creando atmosfere, determinando anche gli stati d’animo.

Il lighting design è anzitutto un progetto d’architettura, dove l’obiettivo rimane legato alla percezione dei luoghi, all’interpretazione funzionale della luce, all’uso consapevole dell’energia ed alla capacità di riuscire ad emozionare attraverso il gioco delle ombre e del colore.

Vogliamo che si crei un “ecosistema” culturalmente avanzato che consideri la materia luce come vero e tangibile materiale di costruzione architettonica.

Noi crediamo che la luce sia l’ultima frontiera del design, l’energia pura che si trasforma in strumento narrativo.

Light, or rather lighting design, is a complex topic that contains technical-physical knowledge, science and design.It is not a novelty that people are attracted to well-lit environments, with a light studied, conceived, and not a light that has the sole purpose of “showing”. Lighting design requires skill,  and something of no small importance, continuous updating, being a sector in rapid evolution.

Light shapes things, brings feelings to places, creates atmospheres, determines moods. The lighting sector is evolving rapidly with constant progress and infinite possibilities to improve space with light. Every year more and more high-performance, miniaturized devices, with very high efficiency and color rendering, come onto the market. The multitude and complexity of the products makes it difficult to know which ones are best suited and for what. For this reason, the figure of the lighting designer is very important. The creative process of the lighting designer always starts from an idea, from a concept, to encourage innovative solutions to face the way we perceive our environment (enhancing and characterizing it) and the way we interact with it. In some specific cases it is necessary to study special fixtures that can best meet the design needs of the lighting designer. In any case, the customer will always have a light tailored to his needs.

Lighting design is the branch of design that deals with light, starting from an idea, giving shape to spaces, bringing feelings to places, creating atmospheres, also determining moods.

Lighting design is above all an architectural project, where the goal remains tied to the perception of places, the functional interpretation of light, the conscious use of energy and the ability to be able to excite through the game of shadows and color.

We want to create a culturally advanced “ecosystem” that considers light matter as a real and tangible architectural construction material.

We believe that light is the last frontier of design, pure energy that transforms itself into a narrative tool.
